Cascade
Cascade
pewter, wax, alcohol ink – 2025
A molten arc of pewter suspends in mid-collapse, holding within it a writhing, biomorphic structure shot through with spinal coils and jewel-toned cartilage. Wax and ink seep into its crevices like soft tissue, veining the figure with violets, golds, and reds. Cascade suggests a failed unfolding or perpetual climax—a fossilized spasm caught between flourish and ruin. It is as much a bloom as it is a beast, its posture suggesting submission, aggression, and ecstasy in a single, spiraling gesture.
