Black porcelain on walnut, 202b
Passage I is a sculptural fragment of ornamented libido — a compressed corridor of impulse, desire, and obstruction. Tubes, ridges, and embedded seams press into one another, forming a vertical axis that is both erotic and congested. The piece is explicit, though not in gesture — its exposure lies in its structure, in the way it makes visible the channels through which energy moves and gets knotted. As part of the Passages series, this work sits between vessel and interface: not devotional, but insistent. It invites the viewer to witness — not what passes through, but the shape of passage itself.
